I'm not a wino...that is until I start drinking wine

So they have released some Hello Kitty Wine in the US. And for awhile now too. I'm behind. I have been trying to get some Hello Kitty Wine from Japan, Singapore & Taiwan, but they won't ship it to me~! In Taiwan its sold at 7-11. They'll have Hello Kitty Italian wine available on hellokittywine.com soon. Of course as with anything with the iconic kitty on it, its way over priced. But that wont stop me from ordering a few bottles. I would like to give out the "sweet pink" at my wedding, cause it has a heart on it and its soo cute, but its 20 a pop. We'll seeeee. I'll let you know what they taste like a soon as I get mine. (Thanks Amy for the link!)

We all rsvp'd for so many shows we forgot which one were on the list for. OH wells were just gonna wing it like we always do. Thats the beauty of SXSW. Plenty of free shows, free food, and free alcohol. We arrived late at the Levis Fort Fader show, but managed to hit up one booth. We're gonna go back to get some custom tees. Tonight's special guest was Damien Marley~!! awesome show. Here are the pics we got. We'll prbably go take more cause were vain like that.

Sally Hansen Chrome Nail Polish and Maybelline Lasting Drama

An unexpected detour took us by the CVS tonight and I told Anson to pull in. I wanted new polish. I always want new polish. I found this. Sally Hansen Chrome Nail Polish at 8.50ea. I bought it with hopes that it would look like the Minx nails without the asinine price. And I have to say it is fairly close to it. Its got a smooth formula that is easy to apply and dries fast. The metallics in the polish are very fine so that when it dries you don't see the brush lines you would get in other metallic polishes. Ignore the silver finger, I didn't pump enough polish out of it, and it made lines. In the pics below, I didn't properly prep my nails so its a lil bumpy. Can you tell I prefer the purple? But you can see that the varnish is indeed shiny like chrome. I'm sure the shine would intensify with a topcoat. Buts its late, I should be alseep, the only reason I can't sleep is because the rain keeps me up. So I decided to try the polishes. I will definately go back and get the other colors. I just wish it came in a bottle. These brushes on the nail color pens are not as firm as I'd like, and it make getting near the cuticles harder. I guess it just takes practice.

Then I came across Maybelline's Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner. I don't know when it was released but my friend PP will be happy to know its now available in the US. On our girl's trip to Japan last May she bought a pot of this and fell in love instantly, went back the next day to stock up cause she knew this was not available back home. I got the eggplant color (I'm trying to move away from black and embracing the Aubergine/Eggplant colors) I will try it and post pics later. I'm in bed and not going to wash my face again just for one eye. Then again I can paint on some crazy eye make up and scare the crap out of Anson...hmm

Tokidoki at Sephora

Just happen to remember about the cute Tokidoki stuff Ying showed me and wandered over to Shephora.com and lo and behold, it is available to order today! So I'm pretty excited about getting getting the eye palettes cause they have an extra compartment under the eye shadows to store whatever u can fit in there. Unfortunately not everything in the line is available. The Highlighter, lip gloss and eye pencils have yet to be released.

This is the stuff I ordered. Nail buffers, and a set of nail filers. This is great cause I'm super anal about my nails and must always file and buff them. This way I can carry it in my bag with the case!

These are the eye shadow palettes one in purple and one for the smokey eye look. I skipped on the green one.

Then I went ahead and order the liquid eyeliner in eggplant or they call it Carina, after the lil cactus kitty. I really was tempted to get in in pink, but I wanted to see how color comes out and if it actually stands out. And last I got, lip stain in Cactus Friends (Coral)

I hope the makeup quality is decent, I'm not expecting spectacular, but hopefully not cheap. I'm a sucker for packaging and these do some in some cute boxes that I don't think I'll be able to trash. They also have Bellissima makeup bags to match and store these lil cuties, they're not as expensive as the regular Tokidoki line so you may want to pick up one at Sephora.com

Only in Japan

Japan is a great country, full of wonders like Mt. Fuji, Geishas, Onsens, Otakus, and now the F Cup Cookie. A cookie you consume twice a day with water to increase breast cup size, and curves your appetite, in turn helping u slim down.
Japan seems to be obsessed with breast size and has a plethora of breast enhancements methods to show for it. Theres the Bust up Gum for those who want to chew their way to breast enlargment.

There are clinics, creams, shakes, vacuum pumps, kits, and even masks for the breasts. As long as there are women out there who appreciate natural breast vs. plastic there will always be a market for breast enhancements and thank god Japan will be there to fill it. I myself am one of the more unfortunate girls that look to grow up top, but that won't happen unless I go plastic (which I won't) or I get pregnant which won't be soon. So I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna try that cookie. And why not? I need to slim down for summer anyways~ >_<

Just one of my Favorite Things

This is one of my all time favorite lip balms. B&C Mikanchan Lip Balm. Its the shape of a mandarin orange and its smells just like it too. Its a great lip balm that softens your lips while smelling fresh. I bought it on a whim while in Japan just cause I <3 cute packaging. You can buy it on SaSa's Site.
They also make an apple, pear and lemon version. They use to make a momo (peach) version, but I found it wasn't as effective as the orange, and I believe its been discontinued. Just the container alone is cute, after using it all I use it to store jewelry. They also make matching hand creams (that come in larger versions) in each fruit to pair with the lip balms!

La Mer Worth It?

Now I did just get some microdermabrasion done the week before. It was my first time. It is amazing and hurts so good. The next day after the treatment, I did get flaky skin again, but it was noticeably less. I have a few more treatments to go, but I will pair this with using La Mer because I want my skin back to what it use to be before I came out to NOVA. The winter this season has been vicious.

So then I finally broke down and bought La Mer. Of course it was the smallest size they had (1oz)but, hot damn this stuff works! Granted I have only been using this stuff for a week now. I had some concerns since the cream is thick and has to be rubbed in your palm before application. I feel like I'm wasting it on my fingers and palms. Ok, so I have combo skin, oily in the summer, dry in the winter, and recently I have been fighting flaky skin on my cheeks. After this I have seen an immediate reduction in flaky skin, and skin texture. Its not yet super smooth, but with all the at home exfoliations I did, they never seemed to remove all the dead skin. This cream moisturized my skin enough so that I don't get the flaky skin. Definately get it if you can.

I also got the La Mer Eye concentrate. I actually got the limited edition one with the little stand that holds the ball wand. Its rather convenient. I cant stand getting applicators and wands with stuff and no where to store it properly, cause then I lose them. So this is applied morning and evening after cleansing, but I will follow up on that when I see results. Which I do hope is soon. I have bad bags and dark circles under my eyes, and even lil white bumps near the corners of my eyes. I doubt this will remedy the bumps, but hopefully this make the circles disappear.

Ash Platform Wedges

Called Lovely, they really are.
Its a redo on their old style. Dressed up with platforms and wedges. I like how they are a cross between sandals and booties. Sure to elongate limbs, this will look great with the current trends of cropped slacks this spring, and these will surely take you into fall. I got mine for 230 at shopbop
edit: you can get it at lord and taylors with coupon simple
